I was going to use theWikipedia for 10 points and Writely for another 10 points, but Writely has been closed down. So we will do this differently! There are two parts to this exercise: Participating in the Wikipedia and Collaborative Writing. The Collaborative Writing we will do in the lab!

1. Collaborative Writing (10p)
   1. Everyone download the software Gobby and install it on the Desktop. Those with laptops, please install on your laptop and write your current IP address on the board.
   2. Those with laptops, please start Gobby and start a session and write a new document together with 2 or 3 others explaining some important aspect of everyday life to a Maritan.
   3. The rest choose an IP-address and join a session. See if you can join multiple sessions and documents! Write a short report on your experience and post it to the assignment part 1 in Moodle.
2. Participating in the Wikipedia (10p).
   1. If you are not already logged on, create a name on Wikipedia
   2. Go to the quality assurance pages of the Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Qualit%C3%A4tssicherung
   3. Or check the deletion pages.
   4. Take 10 pages and do some corrections on each of the pages. Spelling, commas, everything counts.
   5. Come to me if you cannot find anything at all.
   6. Submit a list of the ten pages you worked on to the assignment part 2 in Moodle.
