That was a difficult problem to solve! The 3D libraries were stored as native libraries, meaning to speed things up they used DirectX. This works fine on a native machine, i.e. Windows. But since DirectX is rather useless on a Mac or Unix box, we were out in the cold. The only solutions were to do it at home (on a Windows box) or boot the machines in the lab for Windows and continue on..... Yeah. "Write once, run anywhere". As long as it is a Windows box.
